It's been a while....

since I last mentioned about the gown...

Yes so there was a tiny bump in the supposed smooth sailing, so far so good thinking until 2 fittings ago when the alteration looked oh so strange. but that's all over and done with. it looks great now...=) n fits like a glove...

Since then, we've confirmed our location: Goodwood Park Hotel, The Windsor Ballroom
and the church: St Francis Xavier (Cause my grandparents from Mummy's side's there, so after the celebration we'll stop by to say "hi hi!")
and the date!!: 29th January 2011

The last time when i booked a date, the person at the church told me to take the form home, fill it up then come back and make a deposit. Today, someone else from the church called me "trying" to bump me off my wedding timing... nice try... =P

The story goes...

Last Sunday I had gone in to book my church date... Wanted some time late morning, but arrived only to discover that the same day, 11am slot was taken up... so... settled for the early 9am mass... (well... at least I can now go in and set up the flowers the night before...hehehe... the couple after me needs to come in right after mine to rush their set up...) I sound like Bride-zilla in the making!

But yeah..anyway, so reserved that date and TAH DAH!

So today, I received a call from some1 from church telling me that there's a couple there with her now... who'd like that date, and want to book it at 10, an hr b4 e other couple... no idea HOW they're gonna do tt... n they were able to made the deposit today...

So i replied... "Ok, so what you want me to do???"

She replied..."Could you have your wedding at 8am?"

WAHAHAHAHA! no one's gonna come to my wedding like that man! 8am... phhftt...

So I said no... its too early...

And she tried explaining to me the whole situation about how they can pay deposit...So i told her what I was told, that I can come back to deposit but to reserve the date and that there was no way I was giving it up...

Before both phones were put down... I heard the lady's distant voice say "I'm so sorry...but"
I felt bad, but i also felt good that I had stood my ground...

Bride-Zilla here she comes! hahaha!

Next up on list of to do things asap:
1) Pay deposit for church
2) Pay deposit to Goodwood Park
3) Design invites
4) Pay and register for Marraige Preparation Course
5) Confirm Brides maids and the possible Brides Man...=)

I determined I didn't want to fill up the brides MAIDS quota just cause I had to...
Chris so far has chosen 3 or the possible four, Grooms men + Best Man...

So for me...
1) Cherie aka Samsui aka Che-ly (Bridesmaid)
2) Jaslyn (from uni days, different course, but I love her dearly like a little sister)
and here it comes... the possible number 3....
3) Brides-MAN...Derek (Same bday, same nonsense...hahaha! We're queer in a way, but we click) *shurgs* who said it HAS..DIE DIE HAS to be a girl... Screw that! hahaha!

and the possible 4th girl... if this woman comes back and stays put in Singapore to have the alteration of her dress done and all that jazz...

I have found... my GOWN!!!

I know its nuts... but it's the first and only gown i tried...
I guess it was so easy because... if i wanted like a Bustier, a strapless, a spaghetti strap, a halter... something that's typical of wedding gown of choice... I'd still be one of those girls, setting another date and location to find another dress to try... =)

But I'm not, and I'm Very Happy!
It's brand new, worn only recently by the model who did the shoot for them and the bridal show that was held in January, but not tried by anyone else but the mannequin at the store front. (or so what the designer of the gown said).

Also, very minimal alteration is needed. the length's perfect n exact, only need to take in 2 inches at the waist... tts all... =)

It's traditional, unique, gorgeous, elegant... its also...FULL LACE frm the collar to the train... and to top it off... Mum & Dad bought it for me... hehehe...
Yes yes... bought and not rented. the price to buy, and the price to rent was a few hundreds more, and it only made sense to buy it instead... =P

In 2 weeks time I'll be back to try it again after the alteration. Second fitting...

From here on out... its planning all the way...the venue, the date, the guests, the church...

Yes... Xmas was about... almost a month ago... and NOW then i'm posting up the Xmas pictures... hahaha!
Sorry, but I really had no time... Now that I don't have to report to the death eaters every day, i've now got that time...

On that Xmas dinner day...
1) Tiny pieces of paper were shred for "snow"
2) A board for everyone to fill up their wishes for this Xmas were given
3) 3 backdrop changes were made before Chris & I stuck THE ONE!

5) Xmasy decorations were put up on our back drop stand

A trip to Perth, a wake-boarding session with these two, and seeing that "chemistry" between these two love birds was enough to spark the need to photograph them with their common love...

So it's Day 7 of my notice count down. I have another 17 days left to count (including weekends and those blessed public holidays and half day cause its the eve of public holidays). I should have more days to count, but i'm offsetting the rest of my notice with the remaining leave that I have! WOOT!

Oh and did I mention, my boss, and senior (the two fuckers in my life) are on leave! Starting yesterday, they will be on leave till next year and only returning 4 January. which leaves me ONLY 5 days to put up with them! Awesome Pawsome...

Its amazing how time flies by so quickly, before I know it... i'll be jobless...kinda... and introducing myself for the time being as a Freelance photographer...

I like the ring of that. really.. nothing prestigous like..."Adverting and Promotions Executive". But hey... everyone's an executive nowadays, so...so what...

So after having gone wake-boarding with Chery and Kevin in Perth, I couldn't help but think of how fun it would be to shoot these two.

So I set a date on Friday to get the shoot done, and I had a few shots in mind. To be very honest, this was my first shoot that I did majority of the shooting.

Here's a preview of 1 of the shots I envisioned... That I was very determined to try to get and arrange the lights, no matter how difficult I thought it would be, I'm glad I got it...

The pics are still in the process of DI/Post processing, so these two are not complete yet... but here they are... =) I must say, I'm very very happy with how they're slowly turning out...

Ok, so I wanted to lay all my buys across my room floor and then post them up... BUT! I'm a little lazy today... so i'll do them after they go through the wash...=)

BUT! in the mean time! I decided to grab an image of 1 of my buys from the net to share... hehehe...

A TREAT FOR MY FEET is what it was...
Walked the famous Harbour Town on the 1st day in Perth... Thinking all hope was lost, and that I would end up not buying anything... Low and behold! a huge sign at the Nike store..."40% off STW!" AND BOY WERE THEY SERIOUS ABOUT THE 40%! NOTHING in the store was untouched by the wonderous "LESS 40%".

I picked these babies up... sigh... What love it was when I saw these shoes... of course... Chris liked them too.. and the best part... They was only 1 pair left in my size..everything else was a 9 and above!

I saw 2 price tags... a $100 plus tag, which had a bright red $60 tag stuck over it...

So after trying them, i was a little apprehensive to get them...

Then... the super nice sales dude came up to me and said... "Wow... you should REALLY get those... they're an awesome awesome buy and their gorgeous!"

At 1st I thought to myself "you're just talking sales talk man"

Then he continued... "Get them today! you must, they're a real steal... Just last month they were like.. $100 over bucks... then last week we slashed the price to $60 bucks... so today.. if you buy them, they're like... $24!!! You should so so get it!"

O...M... Fucking... G man!!! $24!!!

I was sold! Chris looked at me and I looked at me with my mouth open... "I'm so getting it!"

Nutters man... What a steal! Happiness Happiness Happy jolly-ness man... I still can't belive I got them for only $24... hehehehe...

Monday blues hit the moment the plane took off... i teared a little because I didn't wanna go back to the so called reality on Monday...

4 days to Perth

Well, so far, the weekend's been awesome and simple...
Spent it with the 2 most important men in my life...=) Christopher, and dear Daddy...
1) I FINALLY cleaned my super moss covered, water evaporating fish tank, I'm surprised all my fishes still survived.
2) Bought new fish to add to my really clean again tank.
3) Bought a second battery for my 5D MkII.
4) Bought another Billingham! WOOT! bigger and in green... Awesome Pawsome! This is like the Prada of camera bags man...=) Hole in my wallet, but I'm happy... This is going to be my travelling partner in Perth...
5) click! photography had a little practice in our studio on what kinda lighting we wanna go for for our corporate job coming up.

Also! The Grunge girls are back together again for a performance and competition... shiok...

And to top it off, we've got ourselves a new member..Evelyn! AND AND! We've all finally got high cuts! Welcome to the family Cass!
can't wait to get back to dancing... I've been so deprived because of work... really so deprived... I can't wait to have more time for dance and for posting entries on click! photography's blog... That blog is in such a sad state now...

Bored in the office...

Its strange that it feels so different handling a "normal" project now...

I can't seem to get used to the "non-hassle" & "non-panicky" parts...

Its been at least 6 months since i experienced this kind of calm where I am.

Feels good i guess... but the past 6 months has "trained" me to worry that I have something that I might have left undone. So now, with this calm floating around me, I keep thinking "This isn't real, there IS something that I have to do..."

Strange...

On a better note!

My leave got approved and I'll be jetting off on 27 midnight to Perth oh PERTH for Aaron's wedding...

Can't wait... All the cousins, relatives, the family and the boy friend's gonna all be together at the same place, on the same holiday in the same country!

BUT! I think i can't fit into it already!! hahaha! since the last time she gave it to me, I've been "working" on building a ring of fats aroudn my waist... You know the sort that gives you layers and lines on your tummy when you sit down...Yeah...they're showing... My jobs making me fat... Another reason to leave...LOL!!! I'm so full of nonsense...

I have 2 weeks to shed this "Ring of Wonder"!

I don't need to eat less, I need to excercise!

The weekend's here again! YAY!

The past week has been really sweet and short for me...

Work Monday, MC Tuesday, Work Wednesday, Leave Thursday, Work Friday...WEEKEND!

And its gonna be a long weekend for me...=) *Big Grin*... I'm taking leave on Monday again! Woot...

I need this break...from the madness at the office...

Its kinda, in a teeny tiny way sad that I have very little drive in what I do in this job now... I guess the lack of appreciation and the adding of negative feedback and shit talking only makes it that way...

It's ok, i only need to hang it out for about another...hmmm.... few more months... =)

On a good note... The start of Saturday has been a good one...
1) Body clock woke me up at 8.30am.
2) Carpenter Chris and I helped mummy fix up her new IKEA cupboard.

and later...
3) Chris and I are going to his friend's place for hang-out session...(time to socialize)

Now... I'm gonna head to clear my cupboard cause come Monday, I'll have a new wardrobe! YAY!
The carpenters are currently working on the wardrobe in my parents room (the sound of the nail gun scares the shit out of mum, chris and I), then my bedroom cupboard, and then my OTHER bedroom cupboards...
(In case you're wondering y have 2, let me refresh your memory. Remember we converted my bedroom into a studio? so I've moved into the room next door. my clothes are still in my old room though...)

So anyway... I can't wait to clear out my clothes... I have a ton of clothes that i don't wear anymore, so they're gonna go into a garage sale ($$$Moooollaah$$$), AND some are
going to my cousin in Perth...

Which means...MORE ROOM FOR MORE CLOTHES!!!

So finally, the big ass project I've been handling is finally over.

Of course, the boss will eventually take all the credit...

What i find becomes what she found...
What I did will be come what she did...
BUT! what mistake happens, or what other don't like... becomes... what I did...

But i reached a point where i just shut it out... Now is just to sit and wait... till December... Steph... hang in there with me...=) We'll make it...

So yesterday, after every guest had their fun, and my feet was sore, pain and full of numbness from running up 3 floors, and down 2 floors to go back to the 2nd floor and then to the atrium and then back in again... and most of the time, at the bossiness of "the second wanna fucking be boss".

"You should go stand by boss in the store, see if she needs help"

So I go, i ask if she's enjoying herself, she snubs me off and says "yeah, yeah, yeah", gives me the hand flick and turns away... I ask if she needs anything, she ignores me... So I stand by her, ignored, and not introduced to the people she's P, fucking R-ing with despite my obvious presence beside her for a good 5 mins... i walk off... finally...

Only to walk out, and then get bossed at AGAIN... and so the list of bossiness continues...

Few minutes later, she sees me and scolds me for not having me and my other colleagues to stand by her to handle the media cause there are too many for her to handle... great... ignore me for being by you... HAhaha... crazy nut!

we HAD to go for "celebratory" drinks... To be honest, my thoughts of "celebratory" was not to have to spend it with them... if it was just with Steph and Lincoln, THEN would it be celebratory!

I thought that it being all over, would make me feel happy again... but even now, as I watch what time i have left of Saturday tick its way by... I still have the same feeling of "i don't wanna go back to work on Monday" feeling. It's strange though. But as the event slowly came to a close, and i stood at the registration table, watching our guests slowly get lesser and lesser I did tell myself..."good job val... you managed to pull this off..." but at the same time, i just wanted to squat down behind the table and sob a little...

I can't explain the feeling, but I guess i was kinda sad that i did not really seem to feel THAT proud of myself for what I had done... This project drained so much of life out of me... I just would have rather turned back time, have my life from May - October back, than to stand there and force myself to feel like i achieved something. strange huh???

The 1 thing I enjoyed though...was having people come up to me and telling me I did a good job rather than going to *ahem* "her" to say those words. Its good to see that others probably recognized that I was the 1 who did this... I hope......

BTW...i Love this video... =) hahaha! anyways, side note... the beginning of the video, how the guy feels... is how i feel every morning to work... LOL! I know i'm not alone on this!

Ok so... recently i joined a competition with my friends and we got into the Semifinals which were held in Genting. Though we didn't get into the Finals (i mean we're not great, but we're working on it), i was very happy i got the chance to actually participate in a competition.

Trust me, it took me alot of effort, blood sweat and tears to be able to go cause of fucking work and the terror that commands it all.

So here's our performance. =) to my Grunge girls - Steph, Cass, Deb and V... Thanks for making it a great experience! and the long journey from Audition days in July/August to the Quarters and then the Semis in September...

I've come to realize that i've become someone else i never dreamt i'd become.
I feel like i've become like one of those "bitchy" girls in school, who always talks smack abt others behind their back, and calling them nasty names.
The amount of bitching i've done in the past 3-4 mths...would be the amount of smack i ever talked about anyone in my 4 yrs of secondary sch, and 3 yrs of poly combined.
I kid you not. I'm serious. Lately, i bitch every 30mins to an hr.

For that, i just clocked in another hr of "bitch-ness" to that every growing number today.
This time, it was cause i got thrown under the bus in front of my friends... behind my back...
Yeah sure, being thrown under the bus happens when you say something to someone and they say it like how it is to the person you don't want knowing that something.

Well... mine's a little different. I got thrown under the bus... WITH MY WORDS TWISTED... Twisted majorly that it distorts its originality and pure "innocence" in every way.

I need more soul searching...
I always say, Karma's a bitch, tts why they get sick very often and easily, and get twitchy anxiety and shit. because you deserve it.

I need to stop this bitching, cause very soon, Karma might turn round and claim its next victim...ME...
Cause if it does, then it makes me no different from their already miserable lives.

I must always remember. I've got friends and family who love me and want me to be happy. I've got things i like to do during weekends and after work. I've ACTUALLY got people to talk to who will listen to me...

The name card's been designed, the basic equipment is set, website we've got pple to help with, most importantly, we've had great subjects to add to our portfolio.

Every Saturday's been "shoot" day for Chris and I.
Wake up at 9. set up. Subject aka frens come in at arnd 10.30am - 11.30 am. Shoot 2hrs. TAHDAH! Its been great to see the results.
So far its been this way for a month or so. But we only got into it more when we bought those "babies". =)

As I went up the escalator and out headed out of Orchard Mrt, i was greeted by a cool breeze and Super dark rain clouds, I smiled at it.

I used to go "shit... i wish i were home sleeping...sian... go office."

But today I enjoyed the walk to office with the hovering darkness above me. Its odd i guess, but it felt relaxing...somehow... I don't know how to describe the feeling but it was so calming...

Ok ok... i guess you could say... It's the kind of excitement and happiness you get when you're planning to go tanning, and pray the night before it wouldn't rain on you, and when you wake, its the bright sunny sky that greats you.

It's amazing how the sky changes so quickly while i was 15 mins underground. Before i got onto the train, the sun was out with full force. When i got out...darkness...

Hmmmm... maybe i liked the dark clouds, cause the sudden change in weather is something different from this somewhat hell hole situation i am in. =P

Well, things haven't been as dandy as they were before, in the past 3 days, things have turned a 360 for me in terms of wat i'm demanded of, how i'm spoken to, and now wat i speak.

Learnt this on Wednesday at my first attempt at stepping out of the basic MTV Groove 1 class... and entering the MTV Groove 2 class... i walked out of class with no regrets and nothing but a smile on my face.

I woke up the morning after without a single ache in my body... but as the day went by, my neck muscles started to tense up... then my back... and then my calves... omg... now... looking up aches like mad... LOL! but i LOVE IT!!

I anxiously await to attend the next one... so very much...

So guess what?!?! Yup... Perth here i come.
I've been allowed to take leave during hte period i would like to, and to make things better... =) i'm so happy i ain't handling the Xmas campaign...really... tts the happiest ever... not to do the xmas campaign...

Also, on a good note... I've been getting back to DANCING... i so miss it... i've been going to oschool to get my weekly fix and loving it... This was the class 2 weeks ago...

First things First........

SORRY CHERIE! this blog entry is 5 days too late! =P
But its here!

Anyways, this is gonna be a looooonnnnnngggggg entry, cause its such a long story, and there are so many tiny details that will might get left out, i'm not so angry anymore, just wish we had the opportunity to send her to jail, to have her interrogated and to find out what more she's done. I swear, Karma's gonna come round and stab you in the back and you wouldn't know it bitch.

So lets see how to start this....

Ok... meet my friend... =) My "Save up for a MINI Cabriolet fund."

This little friend of mine, help me catch my EX-maid's (lets call her....BITCH) mischievous ways...
Here's how the story went....

At the end of every week, whatever coins i had left in my wallet, i'd put into this tiny little coin container...
So after about 2 weeks, i decided to count my "treasure". So i counted all 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, and $1 coins. I had about...$15 worth...

A few weeks later, this ritual of mine continued, and about a month later i decided to count again...$16??!?!?!?!? ONLY???? "that's odd".... so i let it go and simply assumed that since they are of so many denominations, i just must have counted wrongly the first time, and i must have forgotten how much i really had... So i thot i'd remove all the small denominations, and keep it to 50c and $1 coins.

I counted...$17...

So again... this time abt 2 weeks later i counted... i had lesser... This time i was getting suspicious... I thought to myself "This is really odd... i can't be that bad at remembering numbers...wat's more...it's MONEY!!! Someone's been taking my $$$$$ and there can only be one person..."

So i told my mum about it and she said "Tts odd, daddy said he's been missing his $1 coins frm his collection downstairs too... why don't u put an even number inside, so that its easier to remember." And so i did...

So a week later, Steph (who knows what has been going on asked me.) "Eh, u check your coin collection yet anot?" and i replied "Oh yeah hoh... i forgot..."

so after work i got home, the moment i picked it up, i knew that there were coins missing and i was SOOOoooOOOOoooOOOO sure of it... it was way too light...

$13.50!!! Waht an ODDD number!!

My suspicions were true... but i had no evidence...
So i told mum and dad, and dad was angry cause now he was sure he wasn't imagining his little $1 coins floating away and disappearing into thin air.

So mum plotted a plan, "Tomorrow i'm cooking curry, I'll ask her to go outside to buy bread for our party, we'll check her belongings then to see if we find your coins..." (Please keep in mind, we nvr rummage through other pple's belongings, and nvr ever have with our past maids.)

And so we did, she went to buy bread, we went to look through her things... mum said to me before we opened her things "Bring your camera, take a picture if we find the coins... lets do it quick and neat so she won't know."

The first drawer we opened, we flipped through her clothes, nothing, but there was a little container I had given her. (We always give her things, when i clear my cupboard, i often give her clothes, i've even given her my old handbags that i don't want. my family treats her very well, we buy her lunch/dinner, and mum gave her $50 bucks for ang pao even...okokok...back to the story...)

So we opened it, and what did we find...???? not the coins.... but.... MY NINTENDO DS!!!!!!!

Mum: "wait a min, that looks familiar, is that your game???"

Me: "OMG!!!! YES IT IS!!!! OMG OMG!!! WTH!!!

Mum: "Faster take picture faster take faster faster..."

Me: Making hand gestures and pointing to the game "Omg omgomg..wth.... i just asked her last week if she'd seen it and she didn't!! she lied......" and i went on blabbering.

Mum whacked me inthe arm: "HAHAHA! FASTER TAKE!!!!"

I suddenly felt the blood rush through my head... this was the very Nintendo Ds that i had asked that bitch exactly a week ago when she was helping me with cleaning up my room as i had bought a new cupboard set.
Me: "Wati (aka bitch), have you seen my game set, the grey one that can open up? you know tt one u've seen me playing before that uses these games (i held up the game catridge"

Bitch: "No Valerie, i nvr see also, very long i nvr see there already."

FUCKING BITCH LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE!

ok so we continued with 2nd drawer. nothing.

come the third, we flipped over a shirt and what did we find????

Me: "THAT'S MY HEELS!!!"

Mum: "Faster take picture again faster..."

Me: "MUM! i can't believe it i just saw this in my cupboard on thursday, only 2 days ago! and now its here!!"
Mum: "faster!! faster faster...hahaha..faster..."

Me: "omg! why did she take it?? wait! she's going off tmr tts y! wth!!! where she think she's going with them...she wanna die ah..."

Mum: "TAKE!!! hahaha! TAKE!!! ask u take photo you only talk and talk.."

So we finally closed up, put everything back in place and waited...
Throughout the morning, i told my mum i cannot stand having her in the house anymore. "I cannot have her in the hse... i cannot stare at her in the face anymore. those things may not be monetary things, but they're mine, she took them wout asking, and i've been nothing but nice to her the whole 1 yr she's been here, i've joked with her, talked to her, been nice to her, and this is wat she does. if u and daddy don't do anything abt it i'm confronting her NOW."

So plans were made, phone calls were made. i had one last plan to catch her taking my money cos i was so sure... i told mum infront of the bitch "Let's go out for lunch mum"
And before chris, mum and i left the hse, i switched on my computer camera, and recorded my room... During this time, we went to the agent, told her the story, and set a time for their driver to come get her.

When i got home, nothing...

So the driver came at 2.30pm sharp, as expected...
In the dining room, mum called her out, and asked her in front of the driver: "Did you take Valerie's money?"

Bitch (looking confused): "no mum, i dunno what you are talking abt."

Me: "You still dare lie! you take just say!"

Bitch: "I dunno wat money valerie."

Mum: "Fine, did you take Valerie's shoes??"

Bitch: "No i dunno what you are talking about."
Me: from across the hall: "YOU DARE TO SAY NO!!!!!"
Bitch (looking at my mum): "Yes, i ONLY BORROW... want to use tomorrow when go off."

Mum: "That's good enough, you go behind throw all your things on the floor, i want to wathc you pack and make sure you haven't taken more things..."

More things? what else could she take? nothing i hope... WRONG! we found more........

1) My heels

2) My DVDs and CDs
This shows she's gone through my things, because these are in their boxes, and these DVD and CD cases are put into boxes, that are shelved.

3) 4 Polaroid pictures taken in MY ROOM
FUCK man, this pissed me off so much cos i know she's taken more than 4 cos i had no more film in my Polaroid, and i had recently changed the Film Catridge. Stupid bitch take of herself in MY room!
Also, my polaroid camera is neatly tucked away on a shelve.
4) Our missing extra SIM card
This SIM card was used by our previous maids, signed up by my mum for them once they've hit about a year working with us.
This was recently passed to my cousin in November when he was staying over at my place for his use cos his line got cancelled. When he left, mum remembered keeping it n her room, in a drawer. When she had received the Dec bill of $50++ and January bill which was $70++ she thought nothing of it, cos she had forgotten that she kept it and thot it was my cousin using it so didn't bother.
Soon did she realize that it was the missing SIM card when we tested it and found it was ours.

5) My perfume
This like all my other things, are shelved and put together. This is put together with my collection of fragrances. Yet again, another sign of her snooping around my things. 6) some of my cosmetics
Some were given by mum, some were mine and i'm sure of it cos i put them all in my toilet cabinet. and i noticed some were missing.
7) My Ninetendo DS and 4 games
So when she throw everything out onto the floor, when this dropped out, she quickly grabbed it and slide it beside her on the floor while she was squatting.
Unfortunately for her, mum and i were quick to see it.
Me: "Did you see wat she just did?!?!?"

Mum: "Yeah!! u still dare to hide something tt's not yrs?!?! where'd u get it from?"

Bitch just looked down: "Mine mam.."
Me: "WHAT!?!?!?!"
Mum: "Stop lying ah!"

Bitch: "I only borrow from Valerie room."

Me: "If you borrowed then why tt day when i asked you u say u nvr see before dunno wat i'm talking abt?!?!?!"

Also, these games were only recently taken from my room because when we were clearing my room and i had asked her the question. i was at that same time, sorting out my games, and they were all placed into their individual boxes all except for one which as found in the console itself.

8) Our old Nokia Phone.
This phone is kept in a dry box, that's is in a corner of a room.
So she went snooping arnd, and decided to take it.
Her reason, "i see it there so long, no one take so i take."
9) A scented candle which is under our altar.
Like that also want to steal.. go IKEA la! hahaha!10) Binder for mum's client to use.
I odn't have a picture of this, but this was found hidden in the corner of her cupboard. It had gone missing after mum kept it in the art room which is also her bedroom. In case u're wondering, mum's a reflexologist and does alot of Post Natal reflexology, so the binder was bought for a client.

When questioned why she took all these things?
"I see them there, 2 days no one touch, so i take cause you don't want." OR "I only borrow."
Come on la! if really borrow, why the need to hide.
Mind you, from the start, the moment they step in our hse, we alwasy tell them. "If u take soemthing without permission, its stealing. if u want to borrow soemthing, ask us."

So after she left, we went through all the things in her area to see if she's hidden anything...
And we found MORE...

1) Coins (and what's left of the coins she's stolen)
We are Soooo sure, these aren't hers...
Chris has a habit of sometimes not taking out his coins from his pocket, and my mum noticed a few times that her coins or notes in her pockets in clothes tt have gone into the wash, have not come back.

3) Box of Jewellery
When she was packing, she stood up to head to the toilet. so i followed her in case she was up to no good. she went in. took a pair of shorts and walked out as i watched her.
Little did we know, that her intentions was probably to take these with her but couldn't cos i was watching.
Mum found this after she left, and was clearing the toilet.
In it, my ring, mum's diamond ring, and a gold chain.

so we thought that the nightmare had ended the day she got sent back to the agent, till we started to realize, things were really missing.

Dad has a little glass container with ALL his $1 coins collection. at least $300 bucks worth... This container is hidden in a cupboard in our room, in a drawer, right inside, hidden from things... guess what... it's missing!!! Mind you for the whole yr few months she's been with us, she has nvr once been asked to open our cupboards to put our clothes in. She's only asked to leave them on our beds, and we'll put them in ourselves...

My god! imagine the times she's been looking through our things wout us knowing?

On top of this, we have this really old peanut shaped coin bank that's really heavy, made of ceramic and with coins inside, u'd need both hands to pick it up. this is in my mum's room.

So the day after she was sent home, mum was doing the house work. and she thot she'd lift it up to clean.....*drum roll* she lifted it up...with 1 hand! and it was her left hand...she FREAKED!

She went down to agent to question her. she denied! the day she was to fly off and return home, in the car, the agent asked her one more time if she took the money mum asked abt... she said "yes".....................F****** BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So 2 weeks later, and recovering from the drama that happened. a family first, wat's more we were really nice with her. we thought THAT WAS THE END OF THE DRAMA! TILL.....

Ok...remember the SIM card that we found? yeah... guess what, the February bill came...

My mum was so furious that day, she couldn't sleep tt nite. So hopefully, with the police report that we made to blacklist her from ever stepping into singapore again, SingTel will be kind enought to wave the bill...

To think that was it, our neighbours maid told us that she opened the back gate for a bangalah worker before, but wasn't sure if he entered the hse.

She also said that whenever no one was home, she'd go out. Almost everyday she'd go out. sometimes to the playground to meet men. WHORE!

She also told the next door maid that at night, she drinks in the room... When i looked at mum and said "Where she get her beer from sia?!" Mum replied with a "Where do you think you money goes, and hey... pple go out everyday lei!"

When we looked through her hp to make sure she doesn't have our numbers in it, we saw her smses from her bf, who she only met once, scolding her, telling her to beg for her job back, and scolding her for being such a bad worker and for being bad to her employers. Not listening to them, they treat you so well why u still do these things to them, i tell you don't do already.telling her things like "I told you not to do such things, you don't listen." and saying things like "When u tell me not to talk to other girls, but when u meet guys u everyone also talk to them" WAHAHAHA! NUTS!

i must say, he's a very sensible man... too bad he found a psycho...

I guess all these anger my family is feeling is becuase we have been very nice to her. By rule from agent, they aren't allowed phone calls, hps and leave. But we always let them call home after 2 days to tell their parents they're safe in singapore, we let them have hps, and we give them leave after a few months because they aren't animals to be jailed up, they still are humans...

My mum even helps them save their pay so tt they have enough to send home. Our past maids who have been with us for 6 yrs at least, have saved up enough to go home, buy a plot of land, build a hse, and get married.

We're currently having her diary that we gave her to use to write in translated by my mum's client's maid. we wanna know what rubbish she's done that we don't know... tsk tsk... so far all we know is she has ALOT of men's names in it... hahaha!

So we claimed from her the $70++ of phone bills she racked up, i claimed for my $6 she admitted to stealing from me, and the polaroids shes took of herself, cos those things aren't cheap, $30++ for the binder that she had opened from the box cause we can't sell it since its out of the box. We claimed for more things, but can't remember wat it was...

Too bad the bill didn't come earlier, if not she'd have gne straight to the police..shucks... Well, if it wasn't for my "fren" aka "MINI Cabriolet Fund" who knows what more damage she'd have done within this 1 month till it came... tsk tsk tsk...

Karma's a bitch BITCH. It's gonna come round, and STAB you in the back... just you wait and see...

hahaha. looks like its all i keep talking abt. but what to do. its all i eat breath and DREAM abt since i started work. i thot i'd nvr succumb to the "Work haunts me in my sleep" disease. guess wat?? it has! haha!

But i'm proud to say. i've churned out 3 Ads to date(since i started work in October). and another 2 more this week. so... i guess its something to be proud of.

In an office where 90% of the day revolves just arnd 4 pple, to of whom are higher than u... it can be kinda... stressful... Thank God for Steph... I hope they find a web girl and an assistant soon. I think we 2 girls need more interaction... Desperately...

So here's the update... mum left for Vegas...YES! VEGAS on Tuesday morning, 23rd December. Leaving sad me behind... =( hehehe...but from what i know... mum's already bought me 7 Kate Spade handbags...WOOT!!!

BUT! nonetheless... i made the best out of it... On Xmas eve... it was dinner at the Chen's with Dad.

Dinner was...AWwweeeeSSSooommmeee... simple and delicious Salmon...

Then Dad n I headed for midnight mass...

Xmas day was spent...relaxing at home for first half of the day... then at 3 it was working in the kitchen to prepare the stuff for steamboat tt day for my dearest of friends... =)

I initially planned on preparing Lagsagne for dinner... then i thought "I've nvr been in the kitchen...making a meal by myself... i dare not poison my friends!!!" BWAHAHAHA!

So it was off to my virgin solo (accompanied by chris...) grocery shopping...

So they came over, we had steamboat... which had the grill at the side... Quoted from derek and jas "Looks like we're eating more grilled things than steamboat stuff!!!" Glad THAT was a hit... i always liked it tt wat... Crabstick and honey....mmmmmmm.... if u haven't tried it... u should... my frens did.. and they loved it... before i knew it.. Rek was putting honey on practically everything....

So i've past the 1 month mark of work.

I like my colleagues, i especially love that i have Steph to keep me company. VERY!

I'm blessed with great colleagues, and to be given to do the opportunity to do what I like. and not paid the kinda pay i'd have gotten for working more hours than i do for lesser.

But i know for sure. i REALLY don't wanna be working 10 hrs a day 5 times a week for long. I know it, and some of my friends know my plans for the future, and i've never been so serious about it. i am VERY serious about setting up my own business.

SO! on a different note. This is what i did for Halloween. =) Agency decided that they wanted to hold a COMBINED Oct babies celebration for my boss, Steph and I at Party World. LOL! And they bought a bucket of goodies for us that day.

So here's what Steph and I did to with the bucket.

AND! here's out office pet. She's so active, its like having a hamster. So 1 day, we took her out of the water to have her little walk in her box. An hr later, we came out. and found her... sleeping like this.....

So yesterday was my birthday, and i spent it in the office.

Yes, some frens were on the receiving end of my moaning about how i was in the office, (Yang, Rek, Aaron, Chris) feels so weird, and it SEEMED like everyone was planning my boss's birthday surpriseS with an "S" and here i was just enjoying my birthday myself.

Little did i know, mine was being planned to. and boy did they hide it well. They were so sweet i swear. When i told Chris, he said "They're so sweet!!! my birthday people know but don't care." So did my parents. =)

Honestly, i didn't expect anything since i was so new. I mean, come on... i only joined last Thursday, i was like A week and a day "old" here.

To avoid having to repeat the story to million and 1 pple (as if i have so many friends...phft =P), here it is.

The plan was such, The day before i had gone to reserve a cake for my manager, so yesterday, she had gone for lunch with other colleagues, leaving Ling and I to collect the cake and hide it in the fridge. The plan was to surprise her after lunch.

BTW, i was supposed to be at the agency for a little orientation at 4pm, however, the agency got word of my managers bdae and called me to come earlier so that they could come down with me to surprise her.

So i went in to let my boss (veron) noe abt it. and was told to call them back and tell them i can't make it cos she's got some impt things to discuss with me. and so i did.

Few mins later, while veron wasn't arnd. Ling and Lorraine had come to our area to get the cake outta the fridge, when asked if they needed help, she said she'd call me later to come find them. So there i was...sitting in my cubicle..alone...quiet waiting... then my phone rang

"Valerie, can u meet me in the conference room, i wanna talk to u abt the impt things now."

As i walked to the room, i saw the door closed, but the lights off.. so i bent down thinking...

"did i hear wrongly.."

I bent down to look through the unfrosted parts of the door and saw 3 pple, frm the waist down, standing in the room, so i STILL thot

"Oh... ok... looks like they're surprising her soon.. but wait didn't veron want to meet me in this room..?"

I took a glance at the Lit cake on the table..

"THAT'S NOT THE CAKE WE BOUGHT HER?!?!"

I opened the door, the lights came on and they began singing... so sweet la!

So immediately after surprising me... it was Veron's turn. and she didn't expect that either! haha...

So yes...work has started...yes work...not island creamery work work...

So far, can't say much..=) Just started 2 days, but i'm loving it so far... spent a whole friday observing a photo shoot for an ad being done... i loved it... absolutely did!!! Can't wait till i have a project i'd have to handle and do it all by myself and have to attend my next shoot... woots!

Sunday 3/8/08 was the day 50 MINIs and their ownders gathered to celebrate NATIONAL DAY.

3) Each car picked up an old folk that the LIONS CLUB brought, and brought them for a joy ride.

So yes, i've finally graduated! woot! now's time to be eaten up by the realities of working life.......

I have shit loads of pictures from commencement ceremony and the grad bash later tt nite... too many pictures to post, but i'll find away...=)

Besides all this, i caught a really bad Flu and cough from my little nephew... hahahaha! Last monday we decided to go see the little ones, and found tt he'd beeen coughing... so it was fine, we've been there when they were sick before.. but sway sway... this ONE cough, that he did not cover...and was talking to me... SPLAT onto my face... WAHAHAHA!

I didn't think anything of it till the next day... i woke up coughing... the whole of the week it wasn't too bad..till the beginning of this week.. it got worse... by then i had passed this little virus to mum and christopher, who i might add, today, a friday, are recovering alot better than me............. =(

i dun blame the little kid anyways... these coughs come out of my mouth so suddenly, i sometimes lack the "Kung Fu Master's Quick and Swift Movement Skills" to cover my mouth on the first cough...

I'm still coughing loads... like coughing fits that happen in bursts at a time, a runny nose... shit balls.... i feel like the medicine i'm eating are totally BS! but if they work for mum why not on me! argH!!!!

Best part is... Samsui sister's coming back tonight at 11pm... the last thing i wanna do.. is ruin her short trip here by getting her to bring this little flu bug global to the LAND OF DOWN UNDER!

Last Saturday, we had a pot luck gathering at Yeye's hse with the Lams... simple food simple pleasures GREAT company. =)

I decided to bring Candy along since everyone loves her to bits, especially Yeye.

Ok so i finally snatched the pics of jaslyn's..but i think some are abit warped bcos of how they're displayed on her blog... but heres's all we took for the nite filled with pervert boys, boys too short, and smelly arm pits of those who don't noe wat DEODORANT is...

we ordered wrongly... and ended up with 24 shots and 2 malibus...but we thought "hey its ok la..jaslyn's frens are coming..." only to end up...NOT coming... instead of coming to zouk... they went to MOS...ARGH!

Lol! then we thought mayb we could get chris and his boys to finish it up...but he was at velvet having boys nite and drinking merrily..LOL! AND we thought.."why would boys wanna drink these girly drinks.."LOL! so we gave up and left 4 for a bunch of girls next to us to finish up.. they were grateful..haha...One-for-one anyways... nothing lost...=)

And after a week of spending, girl outtings, paying for essentials, i've come down to $30 to last me the rest of the week till pay day on thurs... sian shit.... time to save Valerie..time to save if u want tt mini...LOL!

So we performed our routine for the very last time at SIM's open house.. it was bitter sweet really... hahaha...one hand we were thanking the heavens tt it would be the last time performing it... one the other, we knew we'd miss performing this routine together...lol!

So i noe i have been MIA for super long, but tts only cos i've been busy with this...

Danceworks '08, Vivocity Amphitheatre, Sunday 2nd March

YUP! tts rite... we joined... it's SIM Dreamwerkz's first time trying out at competing rather than staying within our comfort zone of just doing Bashes... cos honestly, those weren't getting us anywhere... it wasn't letting us advance as dancers either...

The whole 3 months was nerve wrecking, and a test of patience and commitment both as a team and for me as a captain... Although we didn't win anything at the competition it was worth it...

Yeah sure i was disappointed, hoping "beginner's luck" would kick in, but i knew i was kidding myself..haha! reviewing the recording, the mistakes we made... if we won anything it would have been a set up...LOL!

And sure, i was upset, wanted to cry kinda thing... hahaha! and later found out a week later i wasn't the only one who wanted to go home and cry... PHEW! it was so funny how i didn't want christopher to comfort me after the results, cos i knew, if he did i'd cry... n i din wanna be the only one doing so cos it looked as if everyone else was taking it better...

i enjoyed the experience, and as much as there were some down points it seemed like we couldn't be bothered anymore, i wouldn't give up the experience for anything! GO DREAMWERKZ!!!!

Sat, Cass, Po and I went to help out with the Marina at Keppel Bay launch where we performed. Sure it sounded fun at first... all we were told...was "$100 bucks for the event. Wed evening practice, and saturday the event is 10-1..." SURE! great deal.. easy 100 bucks,...sounds like fun!

So we go to practice on Wed as told... we walk abt 1km frm harborfront MRT just to get to Keppel Bay...Prac was only abt 2 hrs... whoch was an hr earlier than we expected...GREAT! then briefing came... and here's where all the underlying rubbish comes out... Organizers want to view our performance.. so everyone must come down on Fri by 4 to abt 6.30.... Saturday must come in by 6.30pm to get ready..no later....

So all the girls started doing their math.... and all started to realize...this shit ain't worth it at all... Imagine... Wed --> 2 hrs, Fri --> 2hrs, Sat -->7hrs... so tt would be abt $9 an hr...... to stand in the hot hot afternoon sun.... hmmm..... and WAIT! Fri was NVR part of the deal..AND! if we have to come in at 6.30 in the morning... it would be impossible to catch even the first bus and STILL get there on time..which means cab... peak hr charges... prob abt 20 bucks... so it would be as good as being paid 80 bucks... which meant.....7 bucks an hr????!?!!??!?!

So i think they sensed tension amng the dancers. so the person we were under... fought for us to be paid $40 for those who can make it down on Fri despite them saying only $20..AND instead of 6.30 Sat.. it was 7.30...

PHEW!!!!!!!

so sat comes... 730... we change get up on our platforms and practiced frm 8.30----9.30...
We take a 15-20 min break... with NO holding area... our ONLY holding area... in the hot sun... the first event i've ever been to... that didn't have a holding area... a proper one at least... not even for our belongings....imgaine..EVERYWHERE we went..we HAD to carry our belongings..while wearing our costume... for practiced we carried them out to our platforms at least 200m out... and then back to the "holding" area... and then BACK OUT AGAIN!

We sat, stood, danced, posed in the heat frm9.45--12.30... it was so hot... tt even the public was asking the crew members near by whether they were going to let ANY of us back and into the shade... some told us they felt sorry for us...LOL! some said they were being cruel...LOL! nuts... wat to do..a job is ajob... except this job..we were doing MORE ALOT MORE than we were told or promised we'd be doing...Sure we knew we'd have afternoon sun...hahhaa..really..that we expected and accepted... but wat we weren't told was 5hrs of hot sun... we were told we'd just perform and F.O... instead..we did so much more...posed longer than supposed to...sat in the sun longer than told... held country flags when we were only told the alst thing we'd have to do is wave them and tt was it... phft.....

10 girls got soaking wet frm jets the blew cold sea water abt 5 storeys high, accompanied with hot sun, and then constant winds... those poor girls had it 7 times... cold water-->Hot sun-->Cold wind...This repeated 7 times... I was one of the girls which was told ONLY tt very morning tt we'd be getting wet... i was lucky... the wind direction was in my favor and it blew away frm me... a girl away frm me... it missed me totally... the girl next to me...got drenched... We were all unprepared for this and not told of wat would happen till that very monring...Wat UTTER BULLSHIT....imagine.. standing in a THUNDERSTORM... the water coming down on these girls was TT much..no exagerration... just instaead of rain.. it was cold seat water...

I may have been dry... but at least 15 of us girls got our bags which we had to carry out with us... soaking wet... along with our belongings....FUCK THAT! mine and prob 5 other girls got our belongings wet due to the water running down the road frm the jets...we were soooooo pissed..... yet again..luck was on my side... my CLEO mag had slipped to the base of my bag.. protecting most of my belongings inside... my ipod pouch was soaking wet... my ipod was moist... but thank god..working... my camera..was super wet... thank god.. working... my hp was damp... thank god working... fuck man..fuck.....

It was the worst event i have ever ever worked for... On top of this We were promised snacks during our morning break... and no lunch.. this was understood by everyone during out briefin on wed... come sat..break time... no snacks.... at all! so we were left hungry frm 730-1230... we finish performing by 1230... our next holding area...the carpark FLOOR!!! so the organizer comes and tells us they have ordered Macdonalds for us.. and should be arriving soon cos they knew we were hungry frm no snacks... so YAY!!! food finally... we wait...and wait...and wait......130....still no macdonalds... 2.00...STILL no macdonads... by 230..Po and i couldn't take it..we left.... STILL no macdonalds.. we walk out to the main road... it's 245..STILL no sign of macdonalds... WAT FUCKING BAD PLANNING!!!

So from 730-300... everyone had NOOOO food in our stomachs... fuck man fuck.. serious... thinking back on it today... i still think it's fucked up... such a high end high profile event..SM Goh was there... Clippers were there... country ambassadors... ATAS pple were there... there was first class dining CATERED frm purple sage for the hundreds of guests.... and u couldn't even plan for a proper holding area for 40 dancers, their belongings and promise them snacks as said let alone cheap macdonalds?!?!?!??!?!?! utter bad planning on the events side.. really... shit house work... i've worked for so many other better events companies who have done fantastic jobs...

These costumes weighed a ton by themselves..even after being adjusted to become tighter..we still were pulling them up... so imagine how heavy it got when the girls got wet...
HAHAHA.. to top it off..we all went home with bad tans.. VERY bad ones.... hahaha..none that we expected...

LOL! the result of bad events planning, and we all went home thinking... was it worth it.............

So Saturday was Yeye's birthday.

Rating............2 out of 5 stars! it's tooooo expensive with not so good quality food. the only reason i gave the two is cos of it's atmosphere, layout, design...=) other than that.............................PASS!

so yeye turned a year older (chinese calendar style) and growed a year more kiddier....
